On Saturday 10th of June, Debate Coaches Dr and Mrs Christie took eight Year 9 students to Putney High School to compete in the GDST Juniors Debating competition, which was open to all Key Stage 3 students in the GDST.
All the Bromley debaters had a great day, working well together and learning a lot about debating in external competitions. Bromley was also very successful, with our two team (Amy and Ruby) qualifying for the Gold Final by finishing in the top four of the competing teams, and then winning the Final and therefore the competition as a whole. It was a wonderful end to the day to have Amy and Ruby’s victory in the competition marked with the presentation of certificates and prizes.
