Year 9 pupil, Luciana, has had an exemplary track season; her journey to excellence began with an impressive victory as the Kent County U15 800m Champion. This remarkable achievement demonstrated her exceptional endurance and determination.
Following her triumph at county level, Luciana continued to push her limits and represent Bromley High School in the Kent Schools Championship. It was a defining moment for her as she emerged as the Kent Schools U15 800m Champion, reaffirming her position as one of the finest young athletes in the region.
Taking her talent to the next level, Luciana proudly represented Kent in the Southern England Inter Counties match, where her hard work at training paid off once again by securing an incredible third-place finish.
We are excited to announce that Luciana will be competing in the upcoming English Schools Competition, where she will face off against some of the most talented athletes from across the country. She is one of only four athletes selected in the entire Junior Girls age group and the sole middle-distance female athlete in the county schools team of 70. We have no doubt that Luciana will bring her exceptional skills, determination, and sportsmanship to the forefront, representing our school and county with immense pride.
We are excited to announce that Luciana competed in the English Schools Competition, where she faced some of the most talented athletes from across the country. She is one of only four athletes selected in the entire Junior Girls age group and the sole middle-distance female athlete in the county schools team of 70. Luciana came third in her heat with the top 2 qualifying. She missed out on qualifying as the fastest loser by 0.3 of a second. However, Luciana should be extremely proud of herself as she ran a PB of 2:14.3 The final being won in 2:15.
Although Luciana didn’t make the final in the English Schools, we are immensely proud of her successes. Luciana’s success is a testament to her tireless dedication, countless hours of training, and unwavering commitment to her sport. Her achievements inspire her peers and younger students and serve as a reminder of the heights that can be reached through passion, hard work, and perseverance.
