Last weekend, six Year 10 and two Year 9 debaters showcased their expertise at Oxford University’s International Competition for Young Debaters.

Despite the high standard and fierce competition, Bromley High School debaters had an enjoyable and successful day. Ruby and Mahi from Year 10 both secured placements in the top ten speakers.

Our younger debaters relished the opportunity to hone their skills, engaging with motions centered on the aims of environmental activism and the virtue of forgiveness.

“I really enjoyed the competition because I was able to interact with other students on an international platform. It was amazing to debate with such a wide variety of people as I had to adapt my style with each round!” Mahi, Year 10
