Last weekend, Lydia, a Year 7 pupil, achieved remarkable success in her acrobatic gymnastics.

Competing at the Tigers International Acro Cup last Saturday, Lydia and her partner showcased their exceptional skills. Amidst an international field of 24 competing pairs in their category, Lydia and her partner secured a Silver Medal, achieving their highest score to date.

This triumph comes at the culmination of a very successful year for Lydia and her partner. Competing for Bromley Valley Gymnastics Club at National Grade 3 level as a Women’s pair, they have consistently excelled. At the season’s start, they participated in the London ‘Acro League’, winning two Golds and one Bronze across three competitions. Their momentum continued as they won Silver at the Regional Championships, representing their club with distinction. At the Interregional Championships, representing London, they placed fourth. Additionally, at the Sian Reeds Invitational competition, which featured clubs from across the country, they achieved another Silver medal.

Lydia’s dedication and hard work have clearly paid off, making this year an unforgettable one in her gymnastics journey. Well done Lydia!
