Congratulations to Year 5 pupil Nirvana, who has been awarded the Fritz Kreisler Cup for her recital performance at the recent Coulsdon and Purley Festival 2021. She was also awarded first place in the grade 8 and above solo category.

The festival is affiliated to the British and International Federation of Festivals for Music, Dance and Speech of which Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth is patron.  The Fritz Kreisler Cup is a new trophy that has been introduced to the Strings section of the Coulsdon and Purley Festival this year and is awarded for an outstanding performance in one of the recital classes.

Nirvana received some lovely words of praise from the festival’s distinguished adjudicator, Katherine Jenkinson.

Nirvana is currently studying at the Junior Royal Academy of Music at weekends. The Academy offers a unique opportunity for talented young musicians to develop all aspects of their musicianship in a creative learning environment.
