Year 11 pupil Esmè has been invited to participate in the Football Association Lioness Talent Identification Event for the London and South East Region, as part of the FA Lioness Talent Pathway.
Esmè’s journey playing football started when at nine years old when she was invited to join a boy’s local team (as the only girl) after being seen playing ‘beat the goalie’ at a school fête. Since then, she has not looked back and played for Dartford FC for two years and then moved to Bromley FC, where she has played in the Junior Premiere League division for the last few years.
Esmè’s Bromley FC coach and mentor, Harry Honour has fully supported and inspired her to push herself. Harry referred Esmè to the FA Lioness Talent Pathway which identifies and prepares talented young players with the potential to become a senior Lioness. After reviewing the application, she was invited to the Lioness Talent Identification Event for London and the South East.
Esmè has also played extensively representing Bromley High School alongside juggling her GSCE revision and coach Mr Evans has been a huge encouragement for her which she is very grateful for.
