Year 10 pupil Eva competed in the Public Schools’ Fencing Competition, an annual three day fencing competition and the largest competition of its kind in the UK.

Eva won two of her four poule fights in the first round ending up with an indicator of +3. In the second round Eva won three of her four poule fights giving her an indicator of +7. After the results of her second poule Eva was ranked 13th.

After getting through her first direct elimination round, Eva was through to the last 32, and won the fight 15 – 7, putting her into the last 16 where she fenced the foilest ranked 8th in the country, Abigael McVinnie. It was a close fight, losing by just three hits but Eva came 13th.
