As we gently approach the weekend and the upcoming Bonfire Night festivities, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on the bright evening that lies ahead.
The BHPA has, as always, organised a fantastic event for our community, which, in a world often marked by division, serves to bring people together in joyful celebration. Their tireless efforts have ensured that over 3,000 individuals will have the opportunity to enjoy a family evening featuring a stunning fireworks display. I’m certain that you’ll all join me in expressing our gratitude for their hard work and dedication. They are undoubtedly a cornerstone of our esteemed school, and events like this wouldn’t be possible without their commitment and time invested in making them successful. I cannot commend them enough for their contribution to funding a wide array of resources for our students, ranging from percussion instruments and end-of-term treats to robotics and support for our new wellbeing center.
We will also be welcoming our alumnae to the Performance Space in our Junior School for our annual fireworks reunion. Our alumnae serve as powerful examples of what a Bromley High graduate can achieve and how she can make an impact in the real world.
As we look forward to Bonfire Night, let’s hope for the bonfire to catch fire without any hiccups this time – last year’s attempt with damp wood was a bit embarrassing (I’ve been promised there won’t be a repeat).
I’m excited to see you all gathered around the bonfire for what promises to be a delightful evening of entertainment. Please remember to bundle up warmly and stay safe.
