Following in the proud tradition of recent Bromley High School students who have traveled to the United States in the past few years to study at Princeton, Yale, Rice, Georgetown, Amherst College, and most recently California State University, we are delighted to report that Hannah, in Year 13, has received several offers to study in the US next year.

Hannah has been offered places at University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, Rice University, William and Mary, and SMU.

Like many Bromley High School alumnae before her (such as Alice last year, who received an academic scholarship to study in New York, and Morolake, who received academic scholarships to study at both Amherst College and Syracuse), Hannah has also been offered a significant scholarship to study Economics at SMU.

Hannah’s success in receiving offers from such a wide range of prestigious institutions is particularly impressive, especially considering how demanding the US college application process can be.

Rice University’s reputation has been rapidly rising, culminating in its first-time ranking among the Top Ten colleges in the USA on The Forbes Annual College List (2024-2025), America’s premier university ranking system.

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is the oldest public university in the US, awarding degrees since the 18th century. The Liberal Arts College of William and Mary is the US’s second-oldest university (after Harvard), founded in 1693.

Hannah will make her final decision about where to study after a short trip to the US at Easter to attend some offer-holder days. Hannah’s most difficult task may well be choosing between them!

“I’m really looking forward to studying Economics in the US and I am delighted and proud to have achieved places at such a great range of universities. I am grateful for the support I have received with my US application from Dr. Lindfield.”Hannah, Year 13 pupil
