In the under 15 Regional GDST Hockey Tournament, the Bromley High School team, led by Hockey Captain Nicole, demonstrated their determination and teamwork in a series of matches that culminated in a thrilling showdown in the Finals.

The team played their first game with the intention of proving themselves in their first match of the season. The team understood the importance of an early offensive strategy and executed it effectively, resulting in a 2-0 victory over Sutton. Alisha scored the first goal with an impressive shot that eluded the keeper, while Annie added the second goal with a skillful push past the keeper. This win provided the team with a significant confidence boost as they prepared for their second match.

In the second game, the team aimed to replicate their successful teamwork from the first match. They continued to emphasize early attacks and wide ball movement into the D. Annie and Alish both contributed with their second goals of the day, securing a 2-0 victory for Bromley and allowing them to advance to the semifinals.

In the semifinals, the team maintained a positive mindset, recognizing that they were on the cusp of reaching the final. Their main competition, Croydon, pushed them to their limits in a hard-fought match that ended in a 0-0 tie, leading to penalty flicks.

Bromley emerged victorious in the penalty flicks, winning 2 of their attempts with goals scored by Nicole and Rosie, while Croydon managed to convert only 1, sending Bromley through to the final.

In the finals, the team exhibited excellent skills and utilized effective width in their gameplay, drawing on the experience gained from their three previous matches. Their determination to take the lead drove them to play even stronger. However, despite their efforts, the game concluded in a 0-0 tie, leading to another round of penalty flicks.

Unfortunately, Bromley lost in the penalty flicks, resulting in Sutton being crowned the tournament winners.
