The under 15 Trust Rally Football team recounts their experience playing a total of four matches, reflecting on two wins, two draws and an additional semi-final.
In group 3, the team played a total of four matches, achieving two wins, two draws, and securing a spot in the semi-finals. Their first match against Birkenhead School Academy ended in a challenging draw, serving as motivation for the team. Despite this, their defensive skills were commendable, and they had numerous shots on target.
Their second match, facing Oxford High School, also ended in a draw. It was a closely contested game with opportunities for both teams, but they persevered and maintained their strong performance.
The third match against Shrewsbury High School resulted in a well-deserved 1-0 victory for their team. They exhibited remarkable determination and put up a commendable fight.
Their final group match was against Newcastle School for Girls, ending with an impressive 2-0 victory for their team.
These outstanding results propelled them to the semi-finals against Streatham and Clapham, a match in which they can take immense pride as no goals were conceded. The game ended in a 0-0 draw, leading to a penalty shootout, which, unfortunately, they lost. The shootout was a closely contested battle with remarkable goals and impressive saves.
