Bromley High’s Yr 7 Netball team were the well-deserved winners this week at the London Youth Games, becoming U12 Netball Champions!
The journey to London Champions began last year when the team qualified for the tournament by winning the Bromley Borough Tournament. Whilst the London Youth Games introduced U12 Netball 8 years ago, this is the first time that Bromley has won, so it truly is a fantastic achievement.
In total there were 32 schools representing their Borough.
In its first round Bromley High played against:
Waldegrave School – won 13-2
Channing School – won 13-2
Gumley School – won 15-0
Round 2 saw play against:
Forest School – won 11-3
Streatham and Clapham High School – won 6-4
St Philomena’s – won 10-1
The Quarter Finals were vs. City of London School where we won 13-3
Semi Finals v Francis Holland School was another win at 12-4
With a spectacular final win against Streatham and Clapham High School with a fantastic result of 13-3
