Last week, four Year 5 and four Year 6 pupils participated in the annual Merton Court Cross Country Relay Race, competing against eleven other schools from across London and Kent.
Each runner completed one lap of the course before passing the ‘baton’ to the next teammate. Despite facing a highly challenging field of runners and enduring copious amounts of wind, rain, and mud, both teams remained undeterred in their goal to give everything they could.
Neither team disappointed, demonstrating that determination, focus, and resilience are key to success. The Year 5 team finished in sixth place, while the Year 6 team performed exceptionally well, securing the win in their category.
