Earlier this term, Year 10 pupils went to London to see ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ at the Gielgud Theatre.
‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ is a story about Atticus Finch defending a black man, Tom Robinson, who was accused of raping a white woman, Mayella Ewell. The play explored issues of racial inequality and human nature but also provided elements of humour.
“It was a clever way of demonstrating what life was like in the past and also showed us how we have progressed as a society and how we can further develop. We all found it amazing and very interesting.” Lucy, Year 10 pupil
