Congratulations to our Year 7A netball team who competed in the Bromley Youth Games, finishing third overall.

The team members worked hard on their movement on court and strengthened their team bond throughout the tournament. A slower start to the afternoon meant a close loss to Farringtons School which they recovered well going on to winning against the B team 7-0, Chislehurst School for girls 10-0 and Charles Darwin 9-0. The A team played a well contested game against Newstead Wood which ended in a 0-0 draw.

With only a few points between the top three teams, the girls should be really proud of themselves and came away with a great goal difference from the day. This tournament was excellent practice for their Kent competition in a few weeks time.

Congratulations also to the Year 7B team who finished fifth in the competition, getting their first win of the season against Chislehurst School for Girls 3-0. The B team showed great team work and did well to be versatile, sometimes playing out of position to accommodate their team. The squad finished the day with a taste for great tournament play and will be back to make even more progress for the Kent invitational tournament later this year.
