Congratulations to our Sixth Form pupils whose film, ‘No Time To Dice’, emerged as a shining star in the national GDST Film Competition Awards Gala on Tuesday.

Nominated in four categories for students in Years 10 to 13 – Most Creative, Best Soundtrack, Best Cinematography, and Best Overall – the film captured hearts and minds. The pinnacle of their success came when they clinched the coveted award for Most Creative Film.

This entirely student-crafted masterpiece is a testament to their dedication and creativity. Led by Nerin, the team wrote, directed, and edited the film, utilising their own equipment to bring their vision to life.

Starring Year 12 pupils Anna, Mia, and Nerin, the film transformed a routine school journey into a whimsical tabletop adventure. Drawing inspiration from real-life challenges such as burst water mains, train strikes, and traffic, the film resonated with audiences on a profound level.

Grateful for the support of their peers in Year 12, who offered assistance whenever needed, the creators of ‘No Time To Dice’ celebrated their triumph with pride and gratitude.

“I am very proud of this achievement. I aim to study film at the University and pursue screenwriting as a career, so I am very grateful for this opportunity. I am ecstatic to have won my first film award.” Nerin, Year 12 pupil
