Bromley High School’s 2024 Sports Tour in Spain was a monumental success, marking the largest overseas trip in the school’s history with 120 enthusiastic Year 7 to 9 pupils participating during the Easter break.
Divided into U12, U13, and U14 teams, the tour kicked off with two days of intensive coaching sessions in netball and football. The highlight came on Day 4 with the Inspirefest Netball and Football Tournament. Netball sessions were led by Elite Netball Europe and Manchester Thunder club coaches, while football sessions were conducted by Malaga FC academy staff.
Among the memorable moments, the U14B netball team stood out for their sportsmanship, clinching a Fair Play award. The U12A team triumphed in the U13 competition, while the U14A team secured victory in the U15 netball tournament. Additionally, the U12A footballers claimed victory in their tournament.
Beyond trophies and scores, the tour emphasised participation and camaraderie. With seven netball teams competing, the focus was on promoting active participation and fostering a love for sports among the pupils.
It was a proud moment for Bromley High School to witness so many girls engaging in sports and representing the school on an international stage.
