A real chance to practice and learn Spanish from Native Teachers and the ‘locals’

38 girls from Years 9 and 10, Mrs King, Mrs Carnoy, Mrs Bowles and Miss Vázquez headed off to Spain to spend five days in sunny Málaga

‘¿Todo listo? ¡Vamos a España!’

Whilst in Andalucía, the girls had the opportunity to sample traditional Spanish lifestyle and culture. One of the days he girls had a two hour Spanish lesson with Spanish native teachers, a Spanish cookery class where all the girls together cooked 4 paellas that feed all the students and teachers in the language school (300 in total!) and they finished their Spanish packed day with an amazing and fun flamenco lesson.

We also visited famous historical sites such as la Alhambra in Granada, Ronda’s bullfighting ring and Mondragón Palace, the world famous port of Puerto Banús filled with luxury yachts and the aquarium in Benalmádena.

We had an amazing time and the girls gained an understanding of local people and their customs and were able to put their language skills into practice while visiting local markets and shopping centres.
