Last Friday, participants of the Year 10 Leadership Programme transformed the school hall into a fabulous disco and dance floor for the Year 7 and 8 Silent Disco. We had worked as a team to coordinate the event, communicating with members of staff and external agencies.
Girls danced around the hall wearing their headphones and singing along to ‘Man’s Not Hot’, among other songs handpicked by Eva Bowie and Georgia Chiswick.
Each girl in the team now has a definite idea of just how much effort goes in to making these events a success, whether it be buying paper plates and napkins or searching our houses for any sort of colourful lighting we could find!
With careful budgeting we were pleased to see that as well as holding a fantastic event, we had raised about £250 for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
On behalf of the Leadership team and all girls that came along, thank you to Mrs Pradic and all teachers who gave up their time to supervise and help the event run as swiftly as possible, we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
