Congratulations to Year 9, 10 and 11 pupils that took part in this year’s Intermediate Mathematics Challenge, receiving a record number of certificates for the school.
Organised by the UK Mathematics Trust, the Intermediate Mathematical Challenge is a 60-minute, multiple-choice competition which encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems.
In total, the pupils were awarded 50 Bronze, 29 Silver and 5 Gold certificates. Congratulations to Year 10 pupil, Ella, who was awarded the top result.
Three pupils have qualified for the next round called the Kangaroo Mathematics Challenge, Lily in Year 9 and Ella and Lois in Year 11.
