Reception pupils had an incredibly exciting and educational outing recently, venturing into the heart of our community to visit the local fire station.
The visit was filled with hands-on learning and the highlight for many was undoubtedly getting to experience the powerful fire hose in action! The young scientists discovered they could create a beautiful rainbow with the spray, a perfect blend of fun and learning.
It was particularly inspiring for the girls to meet a female firefighter, demonstrating that anyone can pursue their passions and make a difference in the community. They were fascinated as they explored the fire station’s impressive equipment, from the high-tech heat camera to the walkie-talkies used for communication. The real highlight however, was watching the firefighters use their special scissors to cut through metal, a powerful demonstration of the incredible tools they use to keep everybody safe.
The visit was a fantastic opportunity for Reception to learn about fire safety, the important work of our firefighters, and the amazing technology they use.
