Last week, eight pupils from Years 5 to 8 were selected to represent Bromley High School at ‘The Mix‘ event, which took place at Bullers Wood School, in collaboration with the Chislehurst Society.
This event was a great opportunity for pupils to develop leadership and collaboration skills as students from Year 5 to Year 8, representing different local schools, worked together to create solutions for several local issues. The pupils were taught how to present effectively, engage in discussions and debates and communicate with one another. ‘The Mix’ was led by Bullers Wood Sixth Form Student Leaders.
At the end of the day, all students received a certificate for Leadership & Enterprise. Awards were also presented by the Chislehurst Society representative for various categories, with Bromley High School receiving three awards. The first two were for Group Presentations, one on ‘The Benefits of Healthy Eating’ and the other on ‘Planning a Community Activity Day’. The third award was given to Year 5 pupil Divija for ‘The Best in Leadership and Collaboration’.
It was a great day enjoyed by all!
