Bromley High is celebrating not one, but two National trophies, coming in victorious in the Freestyle and the Medley races of the prestigious Bath Cup and Otter Medley.
Bromley High School’s top swimmers took part for the first time in the event on Friday 8th March 2019. Held at Stratford’s Aquatic Centre, the 2012 Olympic swimming venue provided the team with inspiration and motivation ahead of the biggest swimming event of the school year. Competing in the Freestyle, they confidently made it through to the Finals, where they smashed the competition, coming in very clear winners at 1:49.96. Other schools competing included Latymer Upper, Guildford High School and Reigate Grammar amongst many others. They then repeated their success in the Medley race, with a winning time of 2:03:41, racing against Caterham School, Mary Erskine School and Taunton School amongst others. The winning team comprised:
Imogen Meers
Annabel Smith
Hannah O’Flynn
Evelyn Davis
and Shannon Menteath
A fantastic achievement for all those involved. We can’t wait to see the trophy back at School!
