On the occasion of the first Middle School assembly of the year, the charity ‘Education for All’ was discussed.
Education for All is an organisation dedicated to increasing access to girls’ education in rural areas of Morocco. The charity builds capacity for girls to access education by supporting school placements and constructing boarding houses to mitigate barriers, such as long journeys to school.
This year, Bromley High Middle School will focus on working with this charity to raise awareness and funds to support its work, as well as to foster a sense of sisterhood and community. The new Middle School ambassador team will develop additional ideas to collaborate with the charity and support girls’ education internationally.
The first initiative is a charity book drive, encouraging pupils to donate books to help increase access to reading. All pupils can donate paperback books in good condition to the Junior and Senior school libraries from now until half-term. Thank you all in advance for your donations!
“This assembly raised awareness about Education for All and their focus on girls’ education. It encouraged us to think more broadly about how we can support other Middle School students around the world.”Roza, Year 7 pupil
