Yesterday, our talented pupils entertained the audience with their performance of ‘Made in Dagenham: The Musical’ at the Churchill Theatre in Bromley.

Following the success of the Dance, Drama and Music co-production of Grease two years ago, not to mention the two very successful Performing Arts Tours to New York and Los Angeles in 2016 and 2018, this year we decided to stage the hit West End musical, based on the successful film. Made in Dagenham is drawn from the real-life 1968 sewing machinists strike at the Ford factory in Dagenham, Essex. This strike was influential in the passing of the Equal Pay Act of 1970.

Rehearsals for the show started back in September 2019, and the girls have worked incredibly hard both during school and after school in order to pull the production together. We are very proud of them, and extremely grateful to all of the staff and parents who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make the show possible.

Well done to them all!
