Building work for the new Junior School extension is well underway; the foundations have been completed and structural works are progressing well.

The exciting development of the school building forms part of our ongoing commitment to provide the best possible learning environment alongside our exceptional teaching.

The extension is located to the rear of the Junior School building with a smaller extension to Reception classrooms and foyer at the front of the building.

Once completed, the new specialist facilities will include a new Science lab, an extended computing lab and light-filled Art and Design Technology classrooms looking onto the woods and fields.  A new Dance and Drama studio will open out on to a multi-purpose reception and exhibition space with panoramic views of the grounds which, like the new cookery facilities, will be used by both Junior and Senior girls. A large new library and an innovative glass-walled collaborative learning area will both lead out onto a beautiful new courtyard.

At the front of the Junior School, natural landscaping and a new foyer will welcome parents and girls into the school and extended Reception classrooms will incorporate bright and airy spaces for creative play.

Earlier this summer, the Junior girls marked the first day of construction of the extension with a ground-breaking ceremony.  They will also have the opportunity to get a first glimpse of their new school facilities this Christmas.

Our new Reception classrooms are due to be completed by Easter 2020, with the remaining development completing next autumn 2020.

We look forward to revealing our exciting new facilities soon!
