Parents were thrilled to attend the Junior School production of “Annie” last night, featuring Year 6 pupils performing on stage with Year 5 pupils singing.

“Annie” the musical, which debuted on Broadway in 1977, is a beloved classic that tells the touching story of a spirited orphan named Annie (played by Sophia) who dreams of finding her parents. Set during the Great Depression, the show follows Annie’s journey after being chosen to spend Christmas at the mansion of the wealthy Mr. Warbucks (played by Beatrice).

With its unforgettable score, including iconic songs like “Tomorrow” and “It’s the Hard Knock Life,” and its themes of optimism and resilience, the production captivated the audience, highlighting the power of hope and family.

Special thanks to all our Year 6 performers and our Year 5 choir, who worked extremely hard to support the musical numbers.
