Junior School pupils had a fantastic time celebrating National Poetry Day with a range of fun and creative activities!

This year’s theme focused on counting, allowing pupils to explore the enchanting world of numbers through poetry. The day was filled with inspiring moments, as poetry was embraced in unexpected places.

One highlight was ‘Poetry While You Pee’; Poems were displayed in the toilets, transforming a daily routine into a burst of literary inspiration! The playground also came alive with verse, as pupils shared and read a variety of poems during playtime.

The ‘Poetry Hunt’ turned the school into a treasure trove, with girls eagerly searching for hidden poems in various spots. Poetry even spilled into other subjects, as some year groups explored counting poems during maths warm-ups, while others created poems in computing lessons.

Overall, it was a wonderful day filled with creativity, and the Junior pupils truly embraced the magic of poetry!
