On Sunday 4th June, Year 13 pupil Hannah competed in the South of England Under 20 1500m Championships at Walton-on-Thames and achieved her best-ever accolade by winning the title.
Hannah came in 1st place and managed to run a personal best time in the race of 4 minutes 39 seconds!
This win is Hannah’s best-ever result, and as the South of England Champion, she is now likely to be invited to represent England and compete in an international competition later in the summer. This is the first time Hannah has won such a high individual event, and she has always dreamt of earning the right to compete in an England vest. This success comes hot on the heels of her victory as the Cyprus Under 20 1500m National Champion back in April earlier this year.
Hannah is leaving Bromley High School on a real upward trajectory with her athletics performances, all the while achieving great results in her A levels, which have now finally finished. Well done, and we wish you all the best, Hannah!
