Our under 18 football team’s triumphant journey continues as they secure a spot in the semi-finals of the ISFA Shield Competition.

Travelling to Royal Russell for the National Shield Competition last Friday, Bromley High School’s first under 18 football team started the game strongly, taking a 1-0 lead through an excellent goal from Rosie, a left-footed strike into the top corner from 25 yards out. They extended their lead to 2-0 with great work from Sophie, who delivered a firm cross finished by Bella. Royal Russell responded strongly, scoring two goals in ten minutes to level the game 2-2, leading to a penalty shootout.

Bromley High School converted four out of five penalties from Sophie, Zara, Bella, and Hannah. Alongside goalkeeper Jess making two fine saves, Bromley High School won the shootout 4-2, progressing to the next round against Bede’s School yesterday.
