Bromley High School’s Enterprise teams, Dulia and Onscreen, presented their pitch to a team of industry experts as part of the Enterprise Showcase, bringing them together with six other GDST schools.
The teams overcame obstacles to produce detailed business plans that chart the design and development of their service. They have devised strategies for finance and marketing and shown determination, resilience and hard work. Both teams have selected charities to which they will donate any profits.
Dulia is a content creating service that provides Generation Z social media users with high quality, evidence-based information to help prepare Senior School pupils for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life. Their chosen charity is Freedom for Girls, which works to end period poverty.
Onscreen are offering a service of ‘A night at the outdoor cinema’, that will be sold to Bromley High Year 7 pupils. They will also be selling luxury treats and luscious drinks to make this an unforgettable night for the girls, filled with lots of fun memories and bonding time with their year group. Onscreen’s chosen charity is Papyrus, a national charity dedicated to the prevention of young suicide.
The experts, Jacynth Bassett (founder of inclusive fashion brand The Bias Cut) and Eira Culverwell (enterpreneur and founder of Personal Safety and Self-Defence organisation ResolveIt) were very impressed with the girls’ work.
