Seventeen Bromley High Junior School girls took part in the English Primary Schools Chess Association (EPSCA) zonal competition that was held on 3rd February 2018 at Eltham College. Our teams faced strong competition from The Pointer School, Dulwich College, Eltham College, Claire House and Scotts Park.
The U11 team competed against some of the very best chess players in the country, including the current European Championship runner-up.
The U9 A-team Sophia Ciobotaru, Anjola Adekoya, Rhea Jajodia, Alina Bhaiwala, Phoebe Heath and the team captain Roxolana Chaban.achieved very impressive second place, winning silver medals and qualifying for the EPSCA semi-finals in Camber Sands in May 2019.
