Senior School pupils in Years 11 to 13 were delighted to watch the Greek play Medea by Euripides at Soho Place in London.
Medea tells the story of a woman laid bare by grief and rage, and her terrible quest for revenge against the men who have abandoned her.
Complementing pupils’ learning in Classics lessons about Greek theatre and ancient Greek plays, the play was a more modern interpretation with actors singing the chorus sat amongst the audience.
“I thought the acting was amazing and I loved the way they adapted the play to work for a more modern audience. I liked how the theatre was small and the play was performed in the round and by only a handful of actors.”Evie, Year 12 pupil
