Year 10 pupils made full use of the lovely May weather to complete their two-day Bronze practice expedition around Shoreham.
Walking in the heat was challenging for most of the groups and staff, but the teams persevered admirably, maintaining good morale and even finding the energy for some team games at the campsite on Friday evening!
For many, this was the first time they had slept in a tent and certainly the first time they had carried such a large rucksack for six hours a day. The groups had the opportunity to experiment with cooking on a gas burner and also worked on improving their navigational skills, which will also be developed further during the June qualifying expedition.
Well done all!
