Congratulations to Year 7, 8 and 9 pupils that took part in this year’s Junior Maths Challenge in the summer, and to our Sixth Formers who completed the Senior Maths Challenge earlier this month.

The UKMT Maths Challenge is a multiple-choice competition for students across the UK. It encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems.

In the Junior Challenge, the School achieved a fantastic 14 Gold, 17 Silver and 38 Bronze awards. This is particularly impressive considering the girls took part in the online competition during the summer lockdown.  Special congratulations go to Year 6 pupil Victoria (now in Year 7) who achieved a Bronze certificate for the Junior Challenge, which is designed for Year 7 and 8 pupils.
