Last Friday, Bromley High School hosted the South London regional round of the ESU’s prestigious Mace debating competition.
Teachers and students from Eltham, Eltham Hill, Trinity, Farringtons, and Harris Bromley visited to compete in the debate, along with Bromley High School’s own team of Ekemena and Emma (Year 13) and Ramya (Year 12).
The standard of the debate was high, and an enjoyable evening was had by everyone involved, with motions covering prisoners’ right to vote, the abolition of the House of Lords, and the comparison of narrow and broad educational strategies. The evening was expertly hosted by our Year 10 pupils, Anya, Mahi, and Audrey.
