Welcome to The Book Corner, a biweekly book review by a member of our fantastic Bromley High School community.

This week’s contribution is from Dr. Rowley, Head of Science.  Dr. Rowley is a book-loving scientist who enjoys a good read in between attending rock concerts. An accomplished nature and landscape photographer, he has recently exhibited his work in a London gallery.

‘A Brief History of Time’ by Stephen Hawkins

This book is a journey into the complex world of cosmology. It is written in a way to make it understandable to all without the Mathematics to get us confused and befuddled. Hawkins adds engaging anecdotes on this journey through space and time.

It contains profound insights into how time slows as we approach the speed of light. It even reveals the nature of the mysterious black hole phenomenon, which helps readers unravel the fundamental workings of the universe.

It is impossible to not be fascinated by this book!
