On Tuesday the 26th of February three of our girls: Frances Stark, Cara Pevy and Emmanuelle Dumont visited Buckingham Palace to receive the coveted TeenTech Award in the Wearable Technology category from HRH the Duke of York.

This was awarded to the trio for their Echolocanimals idea, earrings that use  ultrasound  echolocation,  alongside  the  processing  power  of  a  phone,  to  give  visually  impaired  people  information  on  their  surroundings.

Upon arriving at Buckingham Palace they set up a stand with information on their idea. After the Duke of York had handed out certificates to the winners in each category he then visited each stand to find out more about the winning projects. Students then had the opportunity to see the other winning ideas. A unique experience for all and a fantastic achievement for our winning team.
