Every fortnight, we will showcase pupils’ art and photography work, highlighting their creativity and talent.

This week, we celebrate Year 10 student Mila, whose artwork is currently on display in the Crypt of St Martin-in-the-Fields in Trafalgar Square. Mila won the prestigious Children’s Plinth award for her Year 9 ceramic monument dedicated to Laika, the first dog in space. Her sculpture was selected from thousands of entries by renowned photographer Rankin, who oversaw the 3D printing enlargement of her piece. Mila was thrilled to see her artwork illuminated in the light well.

Additionally, Mila had the opportunity to be interviewed by author Onjali Rauf. Her piece will be on display until Christmas, and possibly longer, so be sure to check it out!

In another exciting event, some Year 6 Art Scholars enjoyed a taster session in the Senior School, creating paper stencils and custom silk-screen prints with the help of Year 12 Art Prefects.
