In anticipation of International Women’s Day, the school celebrated the musical legacies of iconic female artists like Aretha Franklin, Alicia Keys, Etta James, and Lady Gaga. Our hall was transformed into a vibrant jazz club, featuring a live orchestra and rhythm section, for a captivating cabaret-style evening.

More than 20 remarkable vocalists showcased their talents, accompanied by five choirs performing dynamic numbers including Proud Mary, Valerie, and Firework.

The event was a true spectacle, highlighting the incredible musicality and talent of our pupils, with over 130 participants gracing the stage. The atmosphere was electric as each performance captivated the audience, showcasing the diversity and power of women in music.

All proceeds from the evening were generously donated to Help Musicians UK, supporting their vital work in assisting musicians in times of need.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported this event, whether through attendance, participation, or donation. Together, we celebrated the contributions of women in music and made a meaningful contribution to a worthy cause. Thank you for being part of such a memorable evening.

“It was a fabulous evening where we celebrated the wonderful talents of inspirational women in music.”Jenna, Year 13 Music A level student
