Scholarships are awarded as a fixed percentage reduction in fees, usually between 5 and 20%, are awarded for the full seven years of the Senior School from Year 7 to Year 13 and reviewed annually.
Eligibility
- You must apply online for this scholarship
- All pupils who successfully pass the 11+ Entrance Examination and are Grade 4/5 standard or above on their main instrument are eligible
- An accompanying letter should be included with the application that outlines their musical experience
- A written recommendation should also be submitted by the instrumental teacher of the first study instrument to support the pupil’s suitability for a scholarship.
Selection process
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted after the Entrance Examination.
Pupils who have been shortlisted will be invited to attend a music audition the week commencing 13th January 2025. The audition take approximately 20 minutes and candidates will be asked to play two contrasting pieces on their main instrument with another piece on a second instrument if desired. There will be a simple aural test and each candidate will be asked about their musical interests.

- Scholar society open mic: each term, scholars will be invited to present at an informal event for parents, teachers and special guests from different areas of scholarship and the workplace on an area of interest or performance depending on scholarship area.
