At Bromley High School, we believe in equipping our girls with the knowledge and confidence to thrive, not just academically, but in every aspect of their lives. We recognise that traditional education often falls short in addressing the complexities of women’s health, leaving many feeling uninformed and hesitant to seek support.
Recent reports, such as that from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, highlight a critical need for change: 24% of women feel embarrassed about their bodies, creating barriers to essential healthcare. We are determined to dismantle these barriers.
Therefore, we are proud to announce the launch of our pioneering Women’s Health Initiative, designed to provide our pupils with a comprehensive and empowering understanding of their bodies and wellbeing.
This initiative represents a holistic approach to female health education, integrating into our PSHE, PE, Biology, and Pastoral academic and care curriculums. The project will ensure our girls are confident, courageous, and fully prepared for the challenges and changes they will encounter.
