The Bromley High School annual Outlook Expedition provides opportunities for Sixth Formers to enjoy an inspirational physically challenging and cultural enriching experience. The School has a long history of taking successful expeditions around the globe to destinations including Mongolia, Zambia, Malawi, Costa Rica, Madagascar, Cambodia and Laos.
This summer, the 2020 Outlook Expedition team was due to go to Borneo for three weeks, giving our pupils the opportunity to volunteer at local schools, visit orangutan sanctuaries and experience the local culture. Unfortunately the trip was cancelled, so instead our Year 12 pupils are raising money for the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation (BOSF).
BOSF helps rescue, rehabilitate and reintroduce orangutans as well as involving local communities in orangutan habitat conservation.
Their aim is to run or walk the length of Borneo, which is 1336 km or 830 miles. Join the Borneo team, head girl team and house captain team to help achieve their goal and raise money for this great cause. To join in, participates can sign up to Strava and join the running club by searching for ‘BHS Borneo Charity Event 2020’.
Participants don’t need to run half marathons every week to take part, a simple dog walk will make all the difference
They currently have a target of raising £500 from the Bromley High School community, so please do sponsor them.
Good luck to the girls!
