To celebrate International Day of Women and Girls in Science earlier this month, Bromley High School is offering a number of excellent STEM opportunities outside of the classroom to its’ pupils.
Headstart
Headstart is a 4-5 day, Year 12 residential for a variety of science and engineering courses run by the Engineering Development Trust. As Bromley High School are participants in the Engineering Education Scheme, our pupils have priority booking.

Inspire
Inspire is a three-day residential course for students in Year 10 or 11. See the Inspire website for information on its courses.
The Smallpeice Trust
The Smallpeice Trust run a selection of Easter and Summer STEM courses for Years 8 to 12.
The Stemettes
The Stemettes are hosting a panel event on the 7th of March. Meet the Stemettes @ LGIM is a panel discussion in celebration of International Women’s Day, Stemettes style!
The event is aimed at young women aged 11 and above, discussing different ways people begin their Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths related careers. They will also explore apprenticeships, A-level choices, university degrees, work experience. You’ll be able to ask the panel questions and network between each other.
Spaceschool UK
Spaceschool UK Space School is a summer residential at the University of Leicester for young people with an interest in space, physics, astronomy & space science. Lockheed Martin is funding 12 students (age 13-18) to attend Space School UK 2020.
