Over the Easter holidays, GCSE and A level History pupils gathered for optional study days aimed at consolidating revision and developing evaluation skills.

Over 30 Year 11 pupils attended their session, engaging with source analysis and constructing evaluative timelines to deepen their understanding.

A level students joined Mrs Freeman for their second optional session of the year, where they explored the nature, pace, and extent of parliamentary reform over time. Spirited debates emerged as they collaborated on evaluative timelines and applied their ideas to essay planning.

The sessions offered a valuable chance to discuss ideas, test arguments, and refine essay structures. It was also an excellent way to strengthen independent revision in a supportive, collaborative environment.

The commitment shown – particularly during the holidays – highlighted the students’ growing confidence and enthusiasm for the subject, with many embracing the opportunity to go beyond the classroom and prepare thoroughly for their upcoming exams.
