We are proud to introduce our new Head Girl Team led by Joy, her deputy Matilda and Senior Prefects Bethel, Amie, Olivia and Tilly.

All our Sixth Formers are exceptional role models and it is more difficult each year to select just a few of these impressive young women to act as Senior Prefects.

Joy – Head Girl

Studying: Music, Psychology and Latin

Aspirations/Interests:If I hadn’t attended Bromley High School, I probably wouldn’t have started singing lessons and discovered my true passion for music. I am fascinated by how so many details and elements work together to create a masterpiece! Therefore, I aspire to be a professional singer and musician, helping others pursue their talents further. From my Brazilian background, I have developed an interest in linguistics. I believe this will allow me to gain a deeper understanding of the world and improve my communication skills. As Head Girl, I hope to help girls follow their artistic passions and find confidence in becoming independent young women.

Favourite quotation:

“A champion is defined not by their wins but by how they can recover when they fall.”Serena Williams

Matilda – Deputy Head Girl

Studying: Chemistry, Physics, Maths and DT

Aspirations/Interests: If you had asked me about my dream job when I was little, I would have told you I wanted to be an inventor. I’ve now come to understand that the actual title would be engineer, or in my case, scientist. I hope to continue my love for chemistry and physics at university. Outside of school, I enjoy playing netball with my team and de-stressing through creativity. As Deputy Head Girl, I am eager to promote communication between the year groups within our school – there are many things we can learn from each other.

Favourite quotation:
“Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.” – Tim Notke

Bethel – Senior Prefect Head Girl Team

Studying: Biology, Chemistry and Psychology

Aspirations/Interests:I have a keen interest in forensic psychology/sciences and criminology, which is why I spend a lot of time watching true crime documentaries – it feels like I’m delving into the mind of a criminal! In my free time, I work as a hairstylist, which I truly enjoy, as it allows me to explore a creative side of myself that my A level subjects currently do not. The quote that inspires me below reminds me that I have the power to take action or shift my perspective in any situation. I truly believe that by holding the words of inspiring women close to us, we can become better versions of ourselves every single day.

Favourite quotation:

“If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.”Maya Angelou

Amie – Senior Prefect Head Girl Team

Studying: Economics, Chemistry, History and Business

Aspirations/Interests: I’ve always been interested in how businesses operate and the legal systems that support them. Corporate law, in particular, fascinates me because it blends strategic thinking with practical problem-solving, influencing how companies function and grow. I am eager to explore this field further, whether through university or a solicitor’s apprenticeship, and to build the skills necessary for a career in law. Outside of my studies, I enjoy skiing and playing tennis, both of which help me stay active and focused. Baking is another hobby of mine, offering a fun mix of creativity and precision. I also enjoy reading, especially books that offer new perspectives and challenge the way I think. I’m excited to dive deeper into law and see where it takes me.

Favourite quotation:  “The important thing is not the time you have, but how you use it.” – Doc Hudson (Cars)

Olivia – Senior Prefect Head Girl Team

Studying: Maths, Physics, DT and Further Maths

Aspirations/Interests: I’ve always wanted a career that allows me to use maths and creativity to build and design – this is why my dream career is as an aerospace engineer. I am driven by the challenge of solving complex problems, advancing technology, and contributing to the future of air and space travel. Outside of school, dance has always been a significant part of my life. It has taught me the importance of dedication and the joy of working toward a common goal with others.

Favourite quote: “A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new.” – Albert Einstein

Tilly – Senior Prefect Head Girl Team

Studying: Politics, History and French

Aspirations/Interests: From a young age, I’ve been deeply fascinated by how the world works, especially when it comes to decisions that shape society. Politics, in particular, has always intrigued me because it is the driving force behind how we address the most pressing issues in our communities. I have also developed a love for languages, especially French. It’s not only the language itself that interests me but also the culture and history. Therefore, I hope to continue studying French and Politics at university and broaden my knowledge in both fields. Outside of school, I enjoy going to the gym and cooking new and creative meals.

Favourite quotation:
