To mark Safer Internet Day, Senior pupils took the lead in educating the entire school about online scams. The group delivered an engaging assembly and designed interactive activities and quizzes, providing their peers with practical strategies for identifying and protecting themselves from digital threats.
This initiative successfully empowered students to navigate the online world more safely and confidently, helping them recognise scams with ease.
At Bromley High School, Safer Internet Day is a collective effort, and everyone can play a part in creating a safer online environment. The whole school assembly aimed to remind students how scammers are using AI tools to perfect their craft and how they can all stay vigilant.
Here are some ways parents can get involved:
- Educate yourself: Stay informed about the latest online scams and share your knowledge with others.
- Talk to young people: Discuss online safety with children and teenagers and encourage them to be cautious about sharing personal information or clicking on suspicious links.
- Report scams: If you encounter a scam, report it to the appropriate authorities.
- Promote online safety: Use social media and other platforms to raise awareness about Safer Internet Day and online safety best practices.
