Last week in story club, our Reception pupils children were captivated by ‘Shhh!’ by Sally Grindley and Peter Utton.
They eagerly opened the flaps of the book, wondering if they had woken the giant. With each flap, the class dared to say ‘BOO!’ and were thrilled to discover the giant’s eye peering back at them. The suspense and surprise kept the Reception pupils fully engaged, as they enjoyed the playful interactions with the story.
Afterward, the girls were inspired to create their own books, filled with flaps and surprises, to take home. They couldn’t wait to shock their families with their creative twists on the story. It was a fun and imaginative session that sparked their love for storytelling and creativity!
