A revision workshop for Sixth Form Economists took place last week facilitated by Andrew Sykes, providing valuable insights and review opportunities for pupils.

Andrew teaches Economics at St Paul’s School and worked as an economist for many years, at the Bank of England, FSA and Government of Bermuda.

The workshop focused on building exam skills and helping Year 12 and 13 students develop techniques to effectively approach exam-style questions of various lengths. The sessions emphasised enhancing students’ recall of key concepts, boosting their confidence, and preparing them thoroughly for the upcoming mock examinations in January.

The workshop was enthusiastically received by all the students, who found it both engaging and highly beneficial.

“The workshop was extremely helpful as it revised content that is relevant for the forthcoming January mock examinations. It also reinforced our understanding of exam technique such as the 20 marks question explanation” Year 13 pupil
