Christmas Market Music Tour to Belgium
In the first weekend of December, 43 students from Years 8 to 13 participated in an unforgettable Christmas Market Music Tour to Belgium. The choir performed three exceptional concerts in stunning venues, including Bruges Cathedral, St. George’s Memorial Church in Ypres, and the historic Menin Gate.
Each concert was a unique and moving experience, receiving lovely feedback from appreciative audiences, including parents and extended family who were staying locally. Performing in such beautiful and meaningful locations allowed the students to showcase their incredible musical talent while connecting with the rich cultural and historical significance of the sites.
A highlight of the trip was the highly entertaining talent show, where students demonstrated their creativity and enthusiasm, adding a memorable touch of fun to the experience.
The tour was a fantastic experience for everyone involved, combining the joy of music with the spirit of the festive season. It celebrated not only the students’ hard work and talent but also fostered a family-like atmosphere, with friendships being forged across year groups.
“From remarkable achievements to unforgettable performances, this term has been a testament to the talent, dedication, and passion of our students and staff – an inspiring note to end the year on!”Mrs Daniel, Director of Music
